Charities We Support

The Cat & The Moon is delighted to host functions for a variety of charities and events, celebrating the achievements of young adults with special needs in its’ Art Gallery.

Other charities benefiting from events held in the Gallery include Action Breast Cancer, The Friends of The Children of Chernobyl and Forget Me Not.

In 2005 the Gallery launched its’ first Annual Art Lottery. Artists who have exhibited with us donated the prizes. This year, the €1,825 proceeds of the Lottery went to the victims of the Tsunami disaster. There were seven lucky winners from the Lottery and they, like us would like to say a big thank you to the artists who gave so generously.

Earlier in 2005, we were happy to host an exhibition of artwork from Zambia in association with the Sligo/Kitwe Link. This exhibition was very enjoyable for all involved because of the quality and uniqueness of the work. The exhibition raised €2,845 for the Zambian artists involved. The Gallery hopes to repeat this enjoyable experience in 2006.
