I Laugh Therefore I Am, is the title of the latest body of figurative ceramic sculpture by Brigit Beemster. Brigits unique characterizations tell of a profound knowledge of the human form, often carrying physical distortion to the limits in their hilarious efforts to reflect the more awkward aspects of the human condition. For this exhibition, Brigit focuses her incisive wit upon the age-old subject of philosophy and its implications in the contemporary climate.

Meditative Works by Brid MacConville,is a new body of work comprising semi abstract and abstract paintings and drawings in acrylics, watercolour, Japanese ink and pastels. Individual artworks are realised through meditative play with colour and form, allowing imagery gleaned from the subconscious to interplay with landscape and domestic minutiae. Sources of inspiration include the Bahai Sacred Writings, the appreciation of beauty in Nature and simple everyday objects and the wonderful and constant play of light which sets the landscape in abstract relief.
